Paleo-Cinema Podcast 130 - The Pulp Fiction Warriors

This time around for 130 I look at Quentin Tarantino's second feature film, 1994's Pulp Fiction and then to complete the set, I grok in fullness Walter Hill's 1979 flick based on a story over 2300 years old... The Warriors.

Feedback and iTunes reviews are always welcome.

Enjoy!

I'm late to the party, but...man, the director's cut of "The Warriors"?

Feh.

Seriously. Not only are those transitions cheap-looking and dumb, they wreck the momentum of the story more often than not--not to mention, they're WHOLLY UNNECESSARY. Walter! I was, like, ELEVEN when I saw this! I totally got that it was a fantasy THEN! You don't hafta explain it, let alone hit me over the head with it.

And that bugs me because "The Warriors", in its original incarnation, is one of my top 5 favorite films EVER, and so incredibly formative to me as a creative individual that I can't even map the influence.

Aaaaand there we are.
