Paleo-Cinema Podcast 138 - Miss Jane's Selection





This time around the movies were selected by Miss Jane as part of the Paleo-Cinema Patreon Campaign. The first movie is a 1933 comedy/drama starring Lionel and John Barrymore, Wallace Beery and Jean Harlow: Dinner At Eight. The second movie is the film thought to be the funniest American comedy of all time, the Billy Wilder directed Some Like It Hot, with Tony Curtis, Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon.

I also talk about the French polymath Boris Vian and how his death directly relates to cinema.

Paleo-Cinema Podcast 137 - Black Magic Career

We go from an 18th Century mesmerist and con man to a 20th Century actor.

Paleo-Cinema Podcast 136 - Dalton As Bond



This time around I look at the two 1980s Timothy Dalton James Bond films The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill. I talk about how they changed the franchise, how they foreshadowed some of the changes to appear later and the real world events that influenced the direction Eon Films took these movies in.
